I’ve always had a bad feeling about casinos and this visit just confirmed everything. After that I went to the bathroom only to come back to find my mom taken away by the skinner security guard to a room where all the big winnings are showcased telling her to continue playing bc she can win big.until I snatched her away. We ended up entering the casino and after my mother won $500 on slots I cashed her out because she doesn’t know when to stop. To which my mother replied yea he shouldn’t be talking to her like that, which he replied no she shouldn’t be talking to HIM like that. I said I don’t have to sneak past since I’m over 21 and the skinnier security guard said stop bc this interaction shouldn’t be happening. This is the second time I’ve been here for a concert and I now remember how awful getting to the show can be. The casinos 116,500 square foot gaming space features 1,970 gaming machines and 154 table and poker games. In order to attend any show or concert at The Venue (which is located in Horseshoe Casino in Hammond), you have to walk through the entire smoke-filled, horrible-smelling casino. All of a sudden the bigger security guard comes up to me and accuses me of trying to sneak past him and proceeds to talk to me crazy. Horseshoe Hammond is a stationary boat casino in Hammond, Indiana and is open daily 24 hours.
So that is what I did since nothing was said when I entered the casino. Before entering, she told me if the security asks for my id don’t be shocked, but if they don’t just keep walking. I took my mother there for Mother’s Day because that was what she wanted.
